Dextra focuses on improving the makeup user experience for women with motor control dysfunction due to Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
It is an open source collection of 3D printable grips of various sizes that can accommodate different makeup tools. The grips are ergonomic and useable with either hand whilst being designed to increase the gripping surface area and weight to create a product that reduces strain and increase stability in use. Even thought Dextra is design with MS patients in mind, it is also directly applicable to people with Alzheimer’s along with anyone who wishes to use the product regardless of circumstance.
To access the product the files simply have to be downloaded, printed and are ready to use.
The ultimate goal is a device that improves the makeup experience for women with ms whilst reducing the negative impacts typically experience.
